So I can't really compare Hovander Park vs Pioneer Park. However, I have used both of the Ferndale area parks a lot over the years and it seems the Hovander Park would be a much better spot to have a highland games. Maybe in a year or two the Bellingham Highland Games organizers will re-think it and relocate the event back to Hovander Park. The strawberry's around here are usually not available until June 1, you must have some secret spot that opens up early. The only berry farmer that I know of on Northwest Road is <a href="http://www.boxxberryfarm.com/" rel="nofollow">Boxx Berry Farm</a>. The Boxx family really does have a nice farm to pick Strawberry's at. They also have a nice selection of raspberries, blue berry's and a variety of vegetables.
